With Android the higher the number the more recent it is, for example Android 9.0 is a newer version than Android 6.0.

How to get the best experience from your visit to our store

This page contains products from 3 different suppliers, they will ship globally, but their key markets are the UK and USA. Each heading in the list below corresponds to a menu item on the Main Menu on the left side of this screen. The list under each heading contains the categories that you will see once you've clicked the relevant Main Menu button to visit the store.

Once in the store, looking to the left of the screen you will see menus that correspond to the list items and can be used to navigate to find your item. All of the phones that you will see listed when you enter the store will be either Android 9 or Android 10, the latest version of Google's operating system.

Many of the phones will have 2 versions, EU Version or Other Area. UK customers should choose the EU version because geographically the UK is in Europe, while US users should select Other Area.

United Kingdom

There are a total of 9 different frequencies used in the UK used by the mobile networks to deliver their 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G mobile services.

1. 800MHz which can also be referred to as (Band 20 or B20)
2. 900MHz which can also be referred to as (Band 8 or B8)
3. 1400MHz which can also be referred to as SDL (Band 32 or B32)
4. 1800MHz which can also be referred to as (Band 3 or B3)
5. 2100MHz which can also be referred to as (Band 1 or B1)
6. 2300MHz which can also be referred to as (Band 40 or B40)
7. 2600MHz which can also be referred to as FDD (Band 7 or B7)
8. 2600MHz which can also be referred to as TDD (Band 38 or B38)
9. 3400MHz which can also be referred to as (Band 42 or B42)

Most mobile phones, sometimes called cell phones, contain microchips from companies such as Snapdragon and Mediatek. These microchips work at some or all of the frequencies listed above which is how you get the connection to the mobile network. When looking at the specification of the phones, it will tell you the frequencies that the phones will work on for each of 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G.

For example, if you wanted a phone that would work on 4G from EE, you would need to check that the phone could work on 800MHz (Band 20) (4G) and/or 1800MHz (Band 3) (2G & 4G) and/or 2100MHz (Band 1) (3G & 4G) and/or 2600MHz FDD (Band 7) (4G). Some of the phones will support multiple bands for 3G and 4G while others will only support 1 band.
